As Akan Law Firm & Mediation, we would be pleased to evaluate the applications of faculty of law students and legal intern lawyer candidates who wish to join our team.

The working method of our legal interns and summer/interim interns shall be as working from home and all kinds of equipment, fittings, organization and set-up shall be provided by our office.

Summer internship applications are evaluated between April and May of each year and they are finalized by completing the interview processes. At the end of May, only the candidate(s) whose application is evaluated positively are reverted to. The applications of faculty of law students who want to do an interim term internship are evaluated according to the needs of our office, and only the candidate(s) whose application is evaluated positively after the completion of interview processes in result of the assessments are reverted to.

Legal internship applications are evaluated in the spring semester of each year for the next internship term. After the pre-elimination, interview processes are completed and only the candidates whose applications are evaluated positively are reverted to.

  • Willingness to be a part of team work;
  • Attention to details;
  • To have time management discipline;
  • Strong reasoning ability;
  • To reside in Istanbul;
  • Good level of English is a reason for preference.

Job description for intern is as follows:

  • Conducting legal research and drafting opinions and texts in this respect;
  • To participate in all projects carried out by our office;
  • To be involved in various transactions carried out by our office such as ordinary and extraordinary general assembly processes, amendments to the articles of association, company incorporations, mergers & acquisitions and share transfer processes, conversions, capital increase, branch incorporation, to prepare and amend documents in this context and to follow up the entire process;
  • Drafting, reviewing, amending and negotiating the agreement and protocol drafts;
  • Following new legislative regulations and informing the team, preparing informative notes in this respect;
  • Translating legal texts;
  • Carrying out the necessary procedures in courthouses, notaries and similar institutions;
  • Follow-up of legal and enforcement files.
